Reproductive Health Literacy Curriculum
The Reproductive Health Literacy Course (RHL) began as a pilot project in July 1999 in the Gueckedou Prefecture in Guinea. Interest levels in the camps were high for the pilot phase and a second round began in June 2000. The purpose of the project is to bring improved literacy skills and increased reproductive health knowledge to refugee women from Sierra Leone and Liberia. Since repatriation has subsequently occurred RHL is currently active in both Sierra Leone and Liberia. The training materials produced for this project are the results of a joint effort between American Refugee Committee (ARC), JSI Research and Training Institute, and World Education.
